Adjacent to the naturalistic hall and the ethnographic room is a space dedicated to the archaeological section of the Museum, currently showcasing our Egyptological collection.
Featuring around a hundred objects, this collection embodies the nineteenth-century fascination with ‘Egyptomania’ or ‘Egyptophilia.’
The Egyptological collection is presently undergoing a restoration campaign, resulting in the recovery and preservation of numerous artifacts.
In this room, you can admire animal mummies, fragments of human mummies, votive statues in bronze and wood, sarcophagus fragments, and portions of canopic jars.
